Introduction

Based at their purpose built Kids Tented Base Camp, Camp Africa, near Cape Point, this camp offers it all - great friendship, awesome adventure, authentic luxury camping, qualified guides and healthy, nutritional meals. With ‘adventure in the environment’ the theme, Scarborough Bay introduces your kids to a host of awesome Outdoor Adventure Activities, suitable for your children. No experience necessary! Adventure Course
The Sun scene Adventure Course, situated on the beautiful Cape Peninsula, is nestled between the Cape Point Vineyards and the Table Mountain National Park (5 minutes from Scarborough). The full day course includes a wide variety of adventure activities such as giant cargo net, suspension bridge, climbing wall and a 120 m zip slide over the farm dam. Learn to Surf
Looking for the experience of a lifetime? Gary’s Surf School, one of the most popular surf schools in South Africa, located on Muizenberg beach, guarantees that you will enjoy learning to surf with them. The waves break gently at Muizenberg and it is one of the safest and best beaches in Cape Town. A full day course ensures that they will almost always get you standing on your first lesson. If you are more experienced, you will be given training on how to improve your surfing on bigger waves. Qualified and professional surf coaches, cool surfing vibe and excellent equipment.

Sand boarding
Spend an action packed day with the Sunscene crew, learning how to carve up the sand dunes of Atlantis, 35 minutes from Cape Town on a sand board. The Atlantis Dunes offer a multitude of different runs to ensure a fun filled, memorable day.

Mountain Biking
On t the all terrain 18 gear Mountain Bikes for a guided cycling adventure to Cape Point. Starting with an off road introduction around the vineyards, where the basics of mountain biking are explained. An educational stops - off at the Cape Point Ostrich Farm to get close up with the feathered giants. Then it’s off to the Table Mountain National Park for some game viewing by bike, including a visit to the Buffelsfontein Visitors Centre and a tidal pool swim. Sea Kayaking
Paddle the stable double sea kayak to view the endangered African penguins from Simonstown Waterfront to Boulders Beach. After a full briefing and instructions by your qualified guides, paddling begins with your designated paddling partner. After exercising those arms, its time to stretch those arms as you take in the sights and sounds of the ocean. Camp Africa
Camp Africa Tented Eco Centre, based on the farm Wildschutbrand, 3 kms outside Scarborough, will be the Base Camp for this Holiday Camp. The camp consists of Large Canvas Lodge Tents, fitted with pine double beds and matresses, a carpet and electric lights. The camp has a large Enviro Tent with walk-in wooden benches for meals, an ‘Out of Africa Boma’ with fire pit and a Juice Bar. Meals will be prepared in the Camp Kitchen and Ablutions include Hot Showers, Bath, Basins and Flush Toilets. The camp is secure, comfortable, and extremely safe and the farm is fenced. Transport
Transport is a key feature of this camp as most of the day activities are conducted off the farm at the designated adventure areas. The vehicle to be used is an air-conditioned 22 seater Mercedes Sprinter, with an experienced, licensed driver from
Pit stop Tours and Transfers. The adventure guides will accompany the vehicle to ensure that the vehicle is driven in a professional manner and safe speed at all times. The vehicle will remain at the camp for the duration of the camp.
Catering
Healthy, balanced meals will be provided at all times. Breakfasts will be self-service with cereals, yoghurts, eggs, toast, juice, etc. Lunches will generally be picnic style at the adventure venue. Suppers will be braai’s and potjiekos and on ocassions, could include take-outs like KFC, Pizza’s, etc. Juices and bottled water will be available throughout the camp and a small tuckshop will be operated on an account basis.
Cost
The total cost including accommodation, professional guiding, all equipment,
luxury transport and all meals is R 3499-00. A Deposit of R 1000-00 secures
your booking with the balance of the amount (2499-00) due 4 weeks prior to
the holiday camp. If a second sibling comes along, there is a 10% discount on the second child.
